Who We Are & Why We Exist

The Visionary, Common Man & Life Observer, hereafter will be referred to as The Common Man. The Common Man is going to create a new U.S. Political Party that will change America’s focus away from trying to save the world and, Instead, concentrate on just our entire continent. This narrative also intends to publicize America’s multitrillions of dollars of unfunded liabilities that must be dealt with starting right now. If not, the US will go bankrupt before the end of this century.

The unwelcome news about America today is thar our birth rate is rapidly declining, which is reducing our workforce. This same problem exists for South Korea, China and Japan. Japan has faced this problem for at least the last 50 years and has tried to change their birthrate by offering substantial financial awards to families that have at least three children or more. 

China initiated their one-child only per family policy in 1980 and ended it in 2016. The implantation of the one-child only and the preference that the Chinese have for a first-born male child, the fact that that China also had a huge rise in the abortion of female fetuses, are the reasons why there are fewer women of childbearing age in China, and it prevented four hundred million births. It won’t be very long before China will not have enough people to cover essential Chinese jobs unless they open their door to immigrants, and they can’t achieve that unless they become a democracy. China’s birthrate is now 1 child per woman and America’s is now just 1.6 per woman.   

South Korea’s birthrate is dropping too and in 2024 is projected to be 0.68 per woman. Not accounting for immigration, countries depend on a fertility rate of 2.1 to sustain a stable number of inhabitants is a pace three times higher than the fertility projection for this year.



Japan has had this problem for more than 75 years. From 1950 to 2021 the global birth rate fell 5 births per woman to 1.26. Developed nations have seen the most drastic decline with Europe projected to incur a 7 percent decrease. It is noteworthy that the fertility rate for Muslim families and many extremely poor countries, largely along the equator, are 9 children per family. 

The Immigration & Job Crisis

America is called the great Melting Pot for a good reason. We have always needed immigrants. In fact, during the Civil War (1861-1865) many male Irish Immigrants, who arrived at Ellis Island, were immediately conscripted into the US Army and were sent off to fight in the Civil War. Some politicians have said that thousands of illegal aliens have come to America, and some are eating pet dogs and cats. We need immigrants and we should be vetting these people as to their talent and trainability. That is why we should be opening our southern border rather than shutting it down. The current candidates as well as President Biden, all favor shutting it down. The trouble is none of these politicians have any vision or awareness about the job short fall that America has right now. One of the candidates has promised a crackdown on authorized immigrants and will limit birthright citizenship. This would hit an even tighter job market and send shock waves through America’s economy. An example of this current job situation is that Minnesota is struggling to fill 200,000 open jobs. Minnesota’s labor shortage is among the country’s more severe, with just fifty-one workers for every one hundred job openings. Plus, Minnesota’s Hospital Association has 10,000 open positions and Minnesota’s senior care sector has 17,000 open positions. 

Migrant encounters at the US-Mexico border have fallen sharply in 2024. After reaching a record high of 249,741 in December 2023 down to just 58,038 as of August 2024.



America should focus on the Americas, from Canada all the way south through Mexico, Central America to the tip of South America. Mexico is thriving financially since we started shipping jobs to them that were formerly in China, and they are one of our biggest trading partners. Both Canada and Mexico value our relationships. I am very concerned because right now China and Russia are in Cuba and Venezuela and are spying on the U.S. Navy. We should reach out to Cuba as their economy is horrible, and we must convince them of our sincerity in having them partnering with America even if they retain their socialist leadership. Chile also has some internal problems that could be eased through new manufacturing opportunities that America can direct their way. The Panama Canal has structural problems that are limiting traffic that is stalled in entering the Canal from either side. We can help them to repair and enlarge the canal’s capacity and this would be important for Panama, America and Americas’ exports and imports. And America needs another port on the west coast along the west side of the Baja Peninsula and south of California. Ecuador, Columbia and Panama need our help to eliminate the drug cartels. What America has to do is stop allowing family groups to come to America that are mostly in Minnesota thanks to the Obama Administration, who brought them here strictly for humanitarian purposes. They came here, not to become Americans, but to live like they are still in Somalia. 

Fixing Our Finances

It is time for America to have a new political Party, a Party that will focus on the Americas and will have a solid plan to end the huge debt’s of unfunded liabilities and overspending by the U.S. Government. All of this has been due to gross financial mismanagement by both the Democrats and the Republicans over the last hundred years. Our platform will change America for the better in every respect. There are persistent and worsening problems in America because of these growing unfunded liabilities. Largest of all is that, as of May 2024 America’s total national debt is $34.63 trillion and it costs $628 billion this year alone to support the debt, which is 16% of the total federal spending in fiscal 2024.

Next is Social Security which, as of March 2024, has an unfunded liability of $7 trillion over the next 75 years. Current policy is unsustainable as the debt would exceed 500% of America’s GNP by 2098. Why has this happened? The withholdings of the payments were to be set aside to grow to pay the benefits when you reached age 65. Social Security disability benefits (SSDI) were added in the 50’s as a new benefit, but Congress did not increase the withholding amount. Starting in the 60’s the U.S. Government began borrowing the intended reserved funds to pay for government expenditures. This means that all SS retirement funds are secured by just the IOUs of the Government. Every time the Republicans proposed investing these funds the Democrats screamed and hollered “NO. that would be very risky for retirees.”



In 1997, due to their unfunded liabilities, Canada decided to start investing Canada’s  Pension Plan (CPP) in stocks, bonds, etcetera and they have been gradually reducing their unfunded liability and have been able to increase benefits too. America must stop this madness before our Social Security System goes broke by the middle of 2030. The Americas Party already has a plan to do this.

It is time that the U.S. Government starts listing their assets and liabilities just as businesses do. That will eliminate the debt ceiling and would put a limit on expenditure to a percentage of not more than 20% of the previous year’s GNP. The U. S’s 2024 $34.63 Trillion GNP is the first time our annual debt has exceeded our GNP. This will be the Common man’s first blog topic.

The United States recognizes two fundamental principles for determining our citizenship pursuant to Article 14 of the Constitution’s Bill of Rights:

Jus soli “right of soil” and jus sanguinei “right of blood.” Jus sanguinei is derived from Roman law and is used to determine citizenship based on your parents’ nationalities. When states have conflicting claims of allegiance, they often defer to jus soli and jus sanguinis in their nationality laws. It appears to me that the U.S. Supreme court would rule that the TPS’ers (Temporary Protected Status) aliens, and their parents cannot be deprived of their citizenship for any reason.
